A Little About Us

We are Marcus and Anne Paton, this is a little about us and our life with staffies.  Marcus had been brought up with staffies in his life and had always wanted his own one.

In 2000 one of our friends mated their bitch Tico, she had the most gorgeous pups I had ever seen.  Every time  we visited one pup in particular would come over and lay his head on Marcus's foot then fall asleep. he had chosen his owner.  We called him Taz, that was in the summer of 2000, sadly Taz is no longer with us but we love him always.

We decided to go and look for another staffie pup after numerous phone calls found one that sounded just right.  In October 2002 we went to see the pups, having already picked one over the phone.  When we got there we knew we had picked the right pup for us, he was 3 weeks old and tiny, brindle & white and just adorable.  We went back to see him again when he was 7 weeks old and was told that we could take him home.  We called this little bundle of mischief Chief.

When he was 8 months old we entered him in a staffordshire Bull terrier class at Camperdown Park dog show, this was his first show and mine.  i was a nervous wreck but Chief held his own and won 1st Puppy, 1st Novice & Best Puppy.  We were so proud of him and pampered him rotten when we got home.

Chief loves the shows, the attention and all the pampering , in fact we think he enjoys it more than we do. he has been shown lightly but has been placed well at champion and open show level

We thought about getting another pup in the summer of 2003.  After numerous phone calls again we were told of 2 litters, both were sired by the same dog, Bullmitz Bon Jovi (Duncan). We called both breeders and enquired about bitch pups.  As none of the pups had been born yet we sat patiently waiting for E-Mails.

The first litter was born on the 4th of  May the second litter was born on the 7th of May.  There was one bitch pup in both litters, but we were after a very special little girl, a pied bitch.

We received pictures of both litters and I about fell of my seat.  In the second litter there was the most adorable male and he was pure white.  We couldn't resist, we now had 2 new pups.  Our pied girl Majik and our big white boy Ally. That's not the end of it though as this year we decided to add a new edition to our family, we now have Mia an adorable little pied angel.Mia did really well at all levels of showing but sadly she passed away at 11 months old we still miss her but she will always be with us run free little one.

Before  we finish we would like to thank the people who helped get us started and gave us advice, Those special people are:

Dode & Yvonne Cowie, for our first staffie Taz

Tony & Liz Pugh  ,  Billy & June Gelson, for our boy Chief, he is just the best.

Dean & Mel Jewell, for our Majik she really is magic.

Nikki Smith, for the big white boy Ally, he is a star.

Jeremy & Anna Froud, for our bundle of joy Mia.

Peter & Angela Smart, for all your help, if it was not for you both and Duncan we would not have 3 of our babies.

We would also like to thank Bianca & Henk janssen for all her help, advice and kind words of wisdom and for our beautifull girl Doortje.

Without all of you we would not be doing what we are doing now or have these special dogs in our lives.
